Plantation Shutters Oakton, VA

Shenandoah Shutters Proudly Serves Oakton

Oakton, Virginia is a charming community just 16 miles west of Washington, DC. Thus it’s been the home of many notable people who have gone on to be influencers in government, like John Doolittle, Robert F. Dorr, and John H. Sununu. It’s a laid back, friendly town with a population of 34,166, but not without activity. Residents here can enjoy fresh produce from the local farmer’s market or enjoy a day at the Oak Marr Golf Complex. Nearby, you can enjoy the amenities of not only Washington, DC, but also Fairfax and nearby Vienna.

Grand, colonial style homes, popular throughout Virginia, line the streets of Oakton, sometimes accompanied by ranch style homes and the occasional Queen Anne. Oakton residents know that every part of their home’s curb appeal matters and don’t want to settle for bland when it comes to their window treatments. When you choose plantation shutters with Shenandoah Shutters, you don’t have to. Our traditional plantation shutters are stately and sophisticated, with vibrant color whether stained or painted in cream or white. We also offer our unique, patented Softedge plantation shutters, which open and close on hinges in a similar style to European kitchen cabinets. Looking for something a little more custom? We’ll make plantation shutters in woods that you request, such as oak, mahogany, or cherry.

All Shenandoah Shutters are produced in Richmond, Virginia, using premium woods. We’re careful about the choice of woods for our plantation shutters. When it comes to stained shutters, we find that basswood brings out the best color. However, for shutters painted white or cream, a less porous wood will get the brightest color, which is why we use yellow poplar. Our installation crew knows all our service areas, including Oakton, expertly, so you can expect them to be reliable and prompt. From the choosing of the wood to the manufacturing to the installation, we’re committed to quality and, above all, to your satisfaction.
