Plantation shutters are a popular window treatment choice throughout Virginia. Residents of historic Nottoway County can look to Shenandoah Shutters for custom, authentically hardwood plantation shutters. We’re local to Richmond, just an hour away from Nottoway County.

The plantation shutters offered by Shenandoah Shutters are all wood; no faux or composite materials here. Every shutter is handcrafted in Richmond and then hand finished with a silken lacquer akin to fine wooden furniture.

Plantation shutters allow you to filter natural light in and out of your Nottoway County home. The result is a cozy ambiance that simply can’t be matched by any other window treatment.

Shenandoah Shutters has been crafting plantation shutters for over 30 years. We know the tricks and tools for even the most difficult installations or uniquely shaped windows. We’ll install plantation shutters on everything from sliding glass doors to sunbursts and arches. In the past, we’ve even used magnets to install our plantation shutters.

We’re proud to offer both traditional and modern style options. We patented our own Softedge design as a choice for our customers. The Softedge design blends and conceals hinges in cases where that may be a design concern, such as tilt-in or casement windows.

Plantation shutters add a fitted hardwood detail to the window and give you adjustable light and privacy. Plus, plantation shutters are energy-efficient and provide an extra layer of privacy.
