New Kent is beautifully rural and hardwood plantation shutters are an ideal treatment for the windows of rural homes. They have a rustic aesthetic and are energy efficient. Plantation shutters add a fitted hardwood detail to the window and give you adjustable light and privacy. Shenandoah Shutters crafts custom made, all wood plantation shutters just a short drive away in Richmond.

If you’re looking to invest in locally made plantation shutters, then Shenandoah Shutters is the place for you. You can even visit and tour our Richmond woodshop to see firsthand how we make your plantation shutters. We leave nothing to chance, even offering a 100-year transferable warranty on your plantation shutters.

We use only premium woods to create your window treatment. Faux wood plantation shutters or other materials cannot compare. Yellow poplar is our usual choice for white or cream shutters, while stained plantation shutters benefit from basswood. We also stock and provide specialty woods, like mahogany and cherry.
