For cream or white plantation shutters, however, we use yellow poplar, because it is less porous and allows for its own richness of color. If requested, we can customize your plantation shutters with other woods, as well, including oak, cherry, and mahogany. Each shutter is carefully inspected after crafting and covered with our silken lacquer finish, giving your window treatment a look that resembles fine furniture.
