King George County is a scenic, rural county with beautiful recreation opportunities. From Caledon State Park to the Machodoc Creek Marina, there are limitless opportunities to enjoy the wonders of the area. King George County is, afterall, known as the “Gateway to the Historic Northern Neck” and is only an hour away from Richmond.
King George County is also home to the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division and is a thriving military community. Towns in King George County include King George, Dahlgren, Passapatanzy, and Fairview Beach.
Plantation shutters let you filter the natural Virginia sunlight in and out of your King George County home. The result is a cozy, warm ambiance and hardwood window treatment that pairs stunningly with the area’s famous scenery. If you’re looking for plantation shutters for your King George County home, choose Shenandoah Shutters today. We’re an easy drive from Richmond and available for tours of our products and creation process. Since 1990, we’ve provided custom made, hardwood interior plantation shutters to Virginia homes.
The rustic scenery of King George County is a perfect match for wooden furnishings. Our plantation shutters use only premium woods and a smooth, silken lacquer finish that calls to mind the beauty of nature. Choose from large or small louvers to determine the best scenic view for your windows. You’ll also choose the cream, stain, or color of your custom made plantation shutters. While we favor yellow poplar and basswood, you are also welcome to request a specialty wood to match your home. Woods like cherry, oak, and mahogany are popular with our clients.
You can also select from traditional or modern plantation shutter designs, like our own patented Softedge design. Our Softedge design conceals your hinges when the shutters are closed. Concerned about an unusual window size or shape? Shenandoah Shutters will measure, craft, and install plantation shutters for even the most oddly shaped windows.
Plantation shutters are energy-efficient, easy to clean, and add value to your home. This is a window treatment with a proven track record of beauty and functionality.
Visit our Richmond woodshop and showroom for an in-person look at our shutters, or call us for a free, in-home consultation. We’ll measure your windows, show you samples, and answer your questions.
