Plantation Shutters Herndon, VA

Shenandoah Shutters Proudly Serves Herndon

Herndon is less than 30 miles from Washington, D.C, and in close proximity to the National Air and Space Museum‘s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. While it may be a land of technology, Herndon is also a city filled with numerous recreational opportunities, including the Herndon Centennial Golf Course, as well as an award-winning community center that offers everything from aquatics to preschool classes.

Plantation shutters match the Virginia landscape perfectly. They provide for simple, beautiful control of sunlight while allowing for privacy. They are also an easy window treatment to maintain, requiring only a quick, damp dusting, unlike soft window treatments that require more maintenance.

Shenandoah Shutters specializes in wooden plantation shutters of only the highest quality. Our plantation shutters are produced locally in Richmond by our skilled woodworking employees who can craft a custom plantation shutter to fit windows in a range of sizes and shapes, including the popular French door.

We offer traditional plantation shutter designs, as well as an option as innovative as the city of Herndon: our original, patented Softedge design. With the Softedge plantation shutter, the hinges are completely concealed when the shutters are closed, creating an aesthetically-pleasing, clean appearance that is ideal for casements and tilt-ins.

All of our plantation shutters are built with premium woods. While many plantation shutter companies stick with using only basswood, we choose our woods based on the style of your shutter. We know that basswood is the best choice for stained plantation shutters, as it creates a richer color over time, while yellow poplar is ideal for our cream and white shutters. Prefer a wood like cherry or oak? We can make that happen, too.

We pride ourselves on incredible customer service and satisfaction, offering a 100-year limited transferable warranty on your plantation shutters.

If you’ve recently purchased a home in Herndon, are remodeling, or are looking to upgrade your existing window treatments, contact Shenandoah Shutters today. Let us help you add value and ambience to your home through our beautiful plantation shutters.
