Plantation Shutters are a stylish choice for your Virginia home. Filled with history, plantation shutters have provided insulation, privacy, and light control for centuries, yet manage to never feel dated. Shenandoah Shutters has been handcrafting these timeless, hardwood plantation shutters for decades. All of our plantation shutters are custom made in our Richmond, Virginia woodshop. We’re proud to be local to Hanover County.
The plantation shutters that are built by Shenandoah Shutters are made using premium woods, like basswood and yellow poplar. We finish each shutter by hand with a silken lacquer finish.
Shenandoah Shutters offers both contemporary and traditional plantation shutter designs, including our original, patented Softedge design. With the Softedge, the hinges are concealed in a way that is similar to European cabinets. This is a popular design choice for all windows, but especially tilt-ins and casements.
